PROHIBITION OF EVIL IS ANOTHER TYPE OF JIHAD
Ibn Qaiyim Al-Jauziy mentioned in his books many types of Jihad (fighting in the way of Allah), one type is: commanding good deeds and preventing vice. It is also a sign of piety, e.g. wherever there is this activity the community is healthy. If there is no commanding of good and prevention of vice, this means that Islam is not well applied or followed.
Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri : l heard Allah's Messenger (may peace and mercy of Allah be upon him) saying : Allah will question His slave on the day of resurrection and say : " WHAT PREVENTED YOU, WHEN YOU SAW AN OBJECTIONABLE ACT, FROM PROHIBITING IT ?"
So, when Allah inspires the slave he would say : " O Lord ! I hoped for your forgiveness and feared the people (lest to harm me for that) .
(This tradition was reported by Ibn Majah and Ibn Hibban).
You can not escape your self from Allah's torment in the day of judgement when you refuse to object practicing evils while people doing it.
In this country (Nigeria ) most of the people commits sin, practicing evils while we kept silent from saying anything to those who applying these evils.
One thing to know is that, keeping silence is support.
THIS IS AN ADMONISMENT FOR THOSE WHO FEAR ALLAH.
