The organized Shehu Abdullahi Fodiyo (TR) maulud organized by the Resource forum of Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Birnin Kebbi zone scheduled for 1st -3rd January 2021 has kicked started with a visitation of the Shrine Of Shehu Abdullahi Fodio (TR) at Gwandu in Kebbi State on Friday 1st January 2021 and a lecture on Saturday 2nd January, 2021 from Prof Isa Mshelgaru on “Resitance against hegemony and its contributions to the Islamic movement in Iran and the Islamic Movement in Nigeria” and Shiekh Muhammad Abbare on “The relationship between Islamic revolution of Shehu Usman Dan fodio and that of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H)”.
Shaikh Sidi Munir opened the day's lecture season with an opening prayer and Mal Haruna Gwandu together with Ittihadul Shu’arah filled the hall with songs of Shehu Fodio and his revolution.
In an introductory remark Mal Buhari Bagudu welcomed all dignitaries and reechoed the program was initiated to rekindle the revolutionary works of Shehu Abdullahi Fodio, a junior brother of Shehu Usman Dan Fodio who was born on 2nd Jumadal Ula 1118 AH and had struggled in reviving Islam in West Africa as one of his pious followers which till date has been even remembered especially in the field of knowledge and struggle.
Prof Isa Mshelgaru had in his lecture discussed how man’s imperialism and hegemony had its influence politically, economically, culturally and military dominance which is seen in different forms of oppression. However, resistance to the different form of oppression as shown to us by our Noble Prophet (SAWA) his Ahlul Bait (AS) and down to Shehu Usman Dan Fodio (TR) and has seen in the Islamic Revolution in Iran is the great solution to the oppression. Despite all threats, remaining stead firm is the very pathway that leads to development and salvation.
Shaikh Muhammad Abbare, had also reviewed Shehu Usman Dan Fodio (TR) revolution starting from the society that had deviated from the part of Allah, his call back to Islam, the challenges he face and how the resistance and remaining along that part of struggle led to development and success which till date we have benefited from. Within this context Shaikh Abbare had made an in-depth analysis of the process and path taken by Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky that has been in different form of challenges that last being the Zaria December 2015 massacre who till date has been illegally detained with his wife Malama Zeenatudeen, who we stay and remain united in the resistance against all form of oppression. All followers of Shaikh Zakzaky (H) should find themselves among either as an Abuja Struggler, One that tender his donations for the struggle or if you don’t have, should find himself amongst those engaged in prayers.
