On Tuesday 13/10/2020 Sheikh Yaqoub Yahaya Katsina the head of brothers and sisters in Katsina has paid a visit of rememberance to the family of martyr Sheikh Qasim Umar Sokoto.
The visit made to the residence of the family located in Mabera area of Sokoto.
Sheikh Qasim Umar was one of the leading clerics of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria leads by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky who was martred by the Buhari government in buja during a recurrent peaceful processions demanding the freedom of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife.
Sheikh Shaheed Qasim answered to the spiritual call some days later after he nursed his fatal injury in a private facility based in Kano. It was believed that he was shot with poisonous bullet at his leg. It was said that he had fully recuperated before the conditions worsened and thereafter attained martyrdom.
He was the leading brother in Sokoto under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.
