Shi'ites are not in combat with the Nigerian Police Rather they are being oppressed.

Many Nigerians, especially Muslims, particularly northerners(Those without sense of humanity) considered Shi'ites murder as legitimate just because of ideological varier.

Shi'ites are being oppressed nation wide, murdered in cold blooded, detained illegitimately, we are seeing and hearing but we closed our eyes and ears intentionally as a result of this devastating and dilapidated ideological variation.

The point I wanted to pop it up in this short but meaningful review is that; Shi'ites are not combating Nigerian Police they are just exercising their their rights provided by the Nigerian Constitution.

Section 38 of the Nigerian Constitution makes provision for citizen's 'freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom(either alone or in community with others, and in public or private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance'.

Section 39 subsequently, provides that 'every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference', while

Section 40 guarantees that 'every person shall be entitled to assemble freely and associate with other persons'.

These are granting clauses that give the citizens of Nigeria constitutional rights to engage in religious propagation within the shores of Nigeria among other rights; to associate and hold opinions or to impart ideas without any hindrance/problem.

By these provisions of Nigerian Constitution you at least come up with that 'every Nigerian citizen has the right to exercise the religion of his choice and assemble with the people intended to assemble freely(publicly or privately).
In fact Nigerian Police has no right to destabilize, harass or kill innocent law abiding citizens just because of their beliefs or religion.
Shi'ites are not in combat with the Police they are peacefully protesting, marching, and worshipping.

The reason why I wanted to digest this issue is, to arouse the attention of Nigerians to embrace humanity and avoid extremism, we are all humans.
"The person is either your brother in faith or your equal in humanity" _Imam Ali(AS).

If you are boasting and proudly claiming that, you are Muslim Shi'ites are Muslims too, where is our brotherhood?

To be continued...
