DIABETES MELLITUS :- This diseases is define as a diseases that is characterised by the presence of excessive amount of sugar in the blood as the body is unable to convert glucose into the energy required for body activities.
The pancreas is a large gland lying below the stomach, produces a hormone, insulin from its cells known as islets of langerhans. Insulin metabolizes carbohydrates as energy and stores excess for future use. If for any reason insulin is not sufficiently produced by the pancreas, starches and sugers will increase the blood sugar content abnormally.
