Quds Day in Abuja, Kaduna, Other Towns In Nigeria Was A Huge Success

by Ma'asumiya Nigeria news update

Reports being monitored from across the country suggest that this year's International Quds Day celebration was a huge success.

Thousands of members of the Islamic Movement and many supporters turned out at the city centre, Leventis round about in Kaduna as the procession marched along the ever busy place with colourful parade.

It was a similar thing at the National Mosque, where the Annual Quds Procession started as a phenomenal numbers turned out for the event.

In Katsina, Sokoto and Kano, the story was the same. So also in Yola, Potiskum and Jos as in all other towns and cities in Nigeria.

The processions ended peacefully without any untoward incidents, unlike the previous year where a combined military and police forces opened fire in Kaduna on the peaceful marchers without provocation, in the full glare of human rights activists and observers.

A more detailed report and pictures to follow.
